OUR MISSION |
Mbaise Global Foundation (MGF) is a rallying organization for the people of Mbaise, a rural community comprising five clans – Agbaja, Oke-Ovoro, Ahiara, Ekwerazu, and Ezinihitte, with three administrative (Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihitte) local government areas– located in Imo State, Nigeria.
MGF is a nonprofit entity set up to actualize the Mbaise Strategic Development Master Plan developed by Mbaise Leadership Forum (MLF), a think-tank whose goal is to transform Mbaise into a First World Community in a Third World Country. The Foundation was conceived to bring together and optimize the efforts of Mbaise organizations willing to work together towards Mbaise development. It enjoys the support of Ezuruezu Mbaise, the umbrella socio-cultural organization. It has several organizational members, and more are expected to join. With a Board of Directors consisting of people from all the five clans, MGF will serve as a vehicle to raise and manage funds for the purpose of achieving the goal of Mbaise development. Member organizations will support fundraising initiatives and strategies and encourage their individual members to volunteer their talents and time and contribute to the Foundation in multiple ways. Mbaise is blessed with ample human resources, including well educated people in all professions and works of life. MGF understands the importance of mobilizing these resources including through their participation in various Advisory Councils responsible for reviewing and prioritizing development initiatives in the Master Plan and other sources. Advisory Councils will cover a range of development sectors such as Education, Health, Security, Power/Energy, Technology Development and Innovation, Environment, Culture and Tourism, as well as Women and Youth Development. MGF is aware that the intended transformation of Mbaise will be challenging and has a structure which ensures that succeeding generations will continue to strive towards the goal. MGF has a long view and seeks to decrease skepticism and enhance the self-confidence of Mbaise people to ultimately achieve the goal. |
