with bold plan and efforts to establish the first of its kind Medical Village in Africa in Mbaise of Imo State.
The Medville Medical City promoted by Mbaise USA is planned to be a state-of-the-art medical facility that aligns with MGF’s vision of developing Mbaise into First-class community in a developing country. In a Memoranda of Understanding signed with a corporation in the United States, the city to be developed in a part of Mbaise will include following:
i.A four (4) Story Building with Connection Passages - 150 Bed Hospital with twenty-five (25) Private rooms and one hundred and twenty-five (125) double rooms, Trauma Center to include a state-of-the-art, multi-specialty surgical clinic which will accommodate the following Clinical Services: Orthopedics, Sports Performance and Rehabilitation, Dental Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Health & Wellness, Heart/Cardiac Rehabilitation, all located on about 65,000 sq. ft. land; ii. Two (2) Story Building – Administration building to house Doctor’s Offices, Pharmacy, Nursing Administration, Engineering and Maintenance. iii. Two (2) blocks of Two (2) Story Buildings each – Outpatient Clinic, to accommodate: Detox Center, Dialysis Center and Pediatrics Center; iv. Classroom blocks for primary and secondary schools. v. Two (2) Story Building – Research Center to accommodate: Laboratory, Diagnostic and Research vi. Two (2) Story Building (forming an Octagon) – Doctors’ Quarters, to comprise Residence Facilities, Dormitories and Conferencing. vii. Standby Emergency Generator/and Solar Panel for alternative power supply viii. A Helicopters/Helipad Services in the Community ix. Water Treatment Plant/Water Purification Plant. x. One (1) Mobile Trauma Unit; xi. Six (6) Ambulances. xii. Assemblage of Medical Consultants and medical experts from the United States and other parts of the world who would work at the Medville community facility based on 2 – 3 yearly rotations; xiii. Access to expertise skill and know how based on international best practices, for the running of the Medville Community Center. |
