The Mbaise Women Resource Center (MWRC) was conceived by the MGF Women Development & Advisory Council. The vision arose after three years of working with the rural Mbaise Women and girls, as well as engaging in other Mbaise community activities. The Council believes in the generally known fact that Mbaise women are highly industrious. The MGF council has also confirmed that their rural counterparts are very resource-limited, just as their mates worldwide.
The center is expected to bridge the socioeconomic gap between the affluent Mbaise community and their less privileged women and girls. It will be a one-stop venue for the rural Mbaise woman towards socioeconomic self-development and improvement. The center will provide resources for women entrepreneurship, healthcare, education, social services, skills acquisition, and more. The MWRC will become home for the already ongoing MGF Women workshops and where every Mbaise woman and girl can comfortably and proudly call her resource home.
